Lollapalooza 2024: Who’s playing at next year’s music festival

If you missed out on Taylor Swift, you can still catch some of the biggest acts in the world in March at the Hippodrome in San Isidro

Taylor Swift is blowing through Buenos Aires for her Eras tour this week. But if you couldn’t snag a ticket to the hottest show of 2023, don’t despair. You can still buy passes to Lollapalooza, and this March’s festival features some of the biggest names in pop music.

Headlining the event will be Blink-182, Feid, SZA, Sam Smith, and Arcade Fire, organizers announced on Tuesday. The concert will also include performances from Limp Bizkit, The Offsping, Diplo, and Miranda!, among many others. Pre-sale tickets to the three-day event are currently available for AR$113,850 (approximately US$330 at the official dollar rate, US$130 at the MEP dollar rate.)

This will be the ninth annual music festival in the capital. Lollapalooza Argentina involves more than 100 musical acts and artists of different disciplines, as well as a “Kidzapalooza” sub-event of shows, workshops, and more. Paying adults can bring their children under the age of 10 along for free, although capacity is limited.

The event, which promotes environmentalism and sustainability, also offers more than 50 stands with gastronomic offerings from across the globe. An average of 330,000 people attend Lolapalooza Argentina each year.

Billie Eilish, Drake, and Lil Nas X were some of the most prominent acts to perform in 2023, but the music fair has showcased the musical stylings of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eminem, The Strokes, Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar, Fito Paez, the Killers, and Rosalia, to name just a few.

The first Lollapalooza was held in 1991 in Chicago’s Grant Park and was originally conceived as a farewell concert for the band Jane’s Addiction. Over the decades, it has evolved into one of the biggest musical events in the world, with annual festivals in eight countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Sweden, the United States, and, as of last year, India.

Lollapalooza Argentina will take place from March 15 to 17 at the Hippodrome in San Isidro.
