Stay warm cruising through art fairs across BA City and overindulging in a chocolate buffet

Even though the rain has managed to suspend just about everything else in Buenos Aires, it hasn’t postponed the weekend. So here’s our recommendations for staying dry, eating well, and pretending to be cultured. 

ARTEBA 2024

Friday 30 through Sunday 1 — Noon to 8 p.m.

This weekend is ARTEBA. More than 400 artists representing 65 galleries across 16 cities will be present at Argentina’s largest art fair. The event will feature a wide range of artistic options including performances, immersive artwork, awards, live music and food options.

BADA

Friday 30 through Sunday 1 — 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

La Rural (Sarmiento 2704)

ARS$7000, reserve online

More than 300 artists will be presenting their work and directly connecting with the public. In addition to their large installments, each artist will also have smaller, more affordable options of their work available to the public in order to increase accessibility.

Festival du Chocolat 

Saturday 31 — 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta (Posadas 1232)

ARS$48,000 for adults, ARS$42,000 for children, reserve online

The Sofitel Recoleta Hotel is hosting a chocolate festival. The event features a buffet of chocolate treats, French pastries, savory choices, and beverages. Some of the desserts connoisseurs can expect to see include truffles, chocolate alfajores and dulce de leche bonbons.
