Experimental urban duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso delivered a satirical and eclectic performance last Tuesday at their first ever show on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show on NBC. The show kicked off their first United States tour, with a first date at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, followed by more than a dozen shows in major US cities.
Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso jumped to international stardom after their Tiny Desk session went viral last October with over 30 million views so far. Released last March, their new EP Papota shines a satirical light on the pressure and expectations put on performers to get physically fit for the cameras.

On Jimmy Fallon’s show last Tuesday night, the artists performed El Día del Amigo wearing plastic muscle suits and fake sweat while holding dumbbells, with their band on the back playing while on gym appliances.
A Tiny Breakout
Born Catriel Guerreiro and Ulises Guerriero, the duo became friends in elementary school in the 1990s and formed a band together with other musicians in 2010. Later on, they began performing as the Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso duo in 2018, and stood out in the local trap scene by mixing pop, techno, and hip house elements into their urban style music. In 2024 they released Baño Maria, their first album, featuring established Argentine artists such as Lali and Tini.
Their 2024 Tiny Desk was a major career milestone, as they performed the songs of their latest record in a style that was more connected to their musical roots rather than the urban genres that made them successful. It was that innovative sound, which they delivered by staying true to their early musical training, that contributed to their Tiny Desk performance having a big impact among US audiences.
Paco and Ca7riel will kick off their US tour with two Coachella performances on April 11 and 18, their first time at the festival. Following that, they will give a total of 14 shows in 11 US cities, with nine of them already sold out and some others being moved to larger venues to accommodate more fans. They will also perform throughout the mont in New York, Miami, Philadelphia and Puerto Rico, among other cities.
Throughout 2025, the pair will play in major international festivals such as Glastonbury (United Kingdom), Roskilde (Denmark), Lollapalooza (Chicago, Berlín and Paris), Fuji Rock (Japan), Couleur Café (Brussels) and Gurtenfestival (Switzerland).
