Join us for Herald Night #8: My wildest reporting trip!

If you’ve ever wondered how journalists plan trips to remote, inaccessible places or what it’s like approaching strangers in the street to learn their opinions, our event at Sheikob’s Bagels is for you

Have you ever wondered how reporters find their way to far-flung corners of the globe to report stories? Or what it’s like to stop strangers in the street and ask them about their opinions on live TV? If so, then this month’s Herald Night is for you.

On Thursday, October 17, at Sheikob’s Bagels (Uriarte 1386), we’ll talk to C5N journalist Luli Trujillo, award-winning photographer and visual storyteller Anita Pouchard Serra, and Herald managing editor Amy Booth about what it’s like reporting in the field. Herald editor Valen Iricibar will host, offering insights and anecdotes of their own.

The journalists will discuss some of their reporting (mis)adventures, how reporters plan their trips, and what it means to “find your Rabbi.” From journeys into the jungle and villages on the far side of dry lakes to the streets of Buenos Aires, expect a conversation filled with humor, sensitivity, and passion for storytelling.

Feel free to ask questions! As always, it’s at Sheikob’s Bagels in Palermo on the third Thursday of the month. Bring your friends — and if you’re on your own, come anyway, and we’ll help you meet people there!

Time: Thursday, October 17, at 8 p.m.

Place: Sheikob’s Bagels, Uriarte 1386
