Coldplay to host exclusive listening event for Argentina fans

The band will take their latest album, ‘Moon Music,’ to San Juan’s Valle de la Luna for a private listening session under the stars

Grammy-winning British rock band Coldplay chose Argentina’s Valle de la Luna in San Juan Province for an exclusive premier listening event for their new album “Moon Music.” They’re hosting a private session for Argentine fans to hear the band’s 10th album before its public release on October 4.

The listening session, hosted by Warner Music Argentina, will take place at sunset in the Ischigualasto Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. As nature and the environment are a big focus for the band, the evening will emphasize sustainability — using mainly reusable materials, and special headphones to avoid creating sound pollution.

There are various contests to get a spot at the listening session and the deadline is September 23. Winners will have an all-inclusive experience at the event, which will take place from the 30th of September to the 2nd of October.

A press release for the event highlighted Coldplay’s special connection with Argentina throughout. The band has a supportive fan base in the country and has done several shows in Argentina.

The group just released the official “We Pray (Tini Version)” video, which features Argentine artist Tini Stoessel and a verse in Spanish that she composed. The video footage is from her recent performance with the band in Ireland. The platform Flow also released an exclusive piece “Coldplay: x Tini: an Argentine Connection,” which features the relationship between the group and Argentina.
