Urban music star Cazzu back on stage at Buenos Aires Trap Festival

The queen of local trap will be one of the headliners of the event next to artists like Bizarrap, Duki, and Nicki Nicole

Argentine trap queen Cazzu is making a comeback. After a year-long hiatus, she will perform at the Buenos Aires Trap Festival, which will take place on December 7 and 8 at the Parque de la Ciudad venue. An artist with nine million monthly listeners on Spotify and five albums, her show is one of the most awaited returns of the year.

Born Julieta Emilia Cazzuchelli in 1993 in Ledesma, San Luis, Cazzu’s passion for music started at an early age, being the daughter of an amateur musician. While her first album, Maldade$, was released in 2017, her big break came later when she joined trap hero Duki in KHEA’s song Loca, which was remixed the following year featuring Bad Bunny.

In 2019, she released Error 93, which consolidated her presence in the trap universe (one of the songs, Nada, has 205 million streams on Spotify.) Since then, she has released hit songs regularly, including collaborations with top artists from the urban music scene like Bizarrap, Duki, Neo Pistea, and YSY A. Her latest album Nena Trampa features collaborations with Maria Becerra and De La Ghetto.

Cazzu surprised fans in April 2023 when she took off her puffer jacket on stage during a show in Buenos Aires and revealed her full pregnant belly. After the last show on the tour, in Chile, she announced she would stop performing live and focus on her upcoming motherhood. Inti, the child she had with Mexican singer Christian Nodal was born later that year in September 2023.

Buenos Aires Trap Festival: the home of urban music stars

The Buenos Aires Trap Festival will take place on December 7 and 8 in Parque de la Ciudad in Buenos Aires City. This year’s headliners include international trap stars like Duki — who three weeks ago became the first Latino singer to perform at the new Santiago Bernabeu stadium — Grammy winner Bizarrap, Nicki Nicole, Eladio Carrion and Khea, among many others.

An annual meeting point for local trap stars, the festival was first held in 2019 at the Palermo Race Course in Buenos Aires, featuring international stars like Bad Bunny and C. Tangana, as well as locals Duki, Bizarrap, Neo Pistea, Ca7riel, and Paco Amoroso.

The event also fostered emerging artists like Dillom — who just released an album featuring Argentine pop star Lali and Rock icon Andrés Calamaro — and Polimá Westcoast.

After being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be the return of the Buenos Aires Trap festival, with many headliners now global music stars. Authorized tickets can be purchased exclusively at www.ticketek.com.ar, with two-day passes at AR$85,000 (US$90 at the official rate, US$65 at the MEP rate).
