Buenos Aires is turning into a hub for cultured delicacies this weekend, as international cuisine takes the stage — here are our recommendations for doing it right.
And if eating your way around the world isn’t enough, this Friday the 13th is international chocolate day, but we’ll let you figure out how to celebrate that one on your own.
Festival of Jewish Food and Theater

The Jewish Food and Theater festival is a four-day event to invite cultural exchange, integration, and discussion. Over the course of the weekend there will be seven plays, all with various Jewish themes, in a variety of venues across the city. The selection includes works by Tamara Tenembaum, Jorgelina Aruzzi, and Martin Goldber.
After each show there will be conversations with the cast, and an opportunity to eat reinventions of traditional Jewish foods. The dishes are inspired by the shows, and specifically designed by chefs for the event.

This open-air event celebrates more than 45 different communities that make up Buenos Aires through their culture, traditions and food. There will be more than 100 cultural and food stands, offering dishes from Armenian shawarma to Austrian strudel to Galician paella.
There will also be shows across various stages throughout the day featuring typical cultural dances from a variety of cultures — including Cuba, India, Ukraine and Syria. There will be recreational and artistic activities, a children’s area, and storytelling for kids of stories from across the world.
Saturday 14 — 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This art circuit is a guided visit of galleries that allows you to select between two different tour options in Palermo, followed by another two tour options in Villa Crespo. The event includes discussions, exhibitions, meetings with the artists and gastronomy.
Galleries on the tours include Galería Grasa, Fundación Cazadores, Microgalería, Hache, Pabellón 4 Arte Contemporáneo and Quimera Galería. An After Gallery event begins at 7 p.m. which features an interactive gallery and an immersive art experience, followed by a DJ.
