The Argentine men’s rugby union team are set to host Australia and South Africa for the next stage of the 2024 Rugby Championship. Tickets are on sale exclusively through Ticketek.
When and where are the Pumas playing?
Argentina will play Australia and South Africa in its four remaining 2024 Rugby Championship fixtures.
The Pumas will host the Wallabies for both matches. The first is at the José Luis Hirschi Stadium in La Plata on August 31, while the second is at the Brigadier Gral. Estanislao López stadium in Santa Fe on September 7.
Argentina will then play its last home-turf game of the season against South Africa on September 21, at the Madre de Ciudades stadium in Santiago del Estero. From there, the action crosses the South Atlantic to South Africa’s Mbombela Stadium for the team’s last game of the tournament.
Australia and South Africa are at opposite ends of the ranking after the Springboks won both of their matches. They lead the tournament with 10 points, while the Wallabies sit last with zero.
How are the Pumas doing in the 2024 Rugby Championship?
Argentina are currently third after New Zealand, the only team they’ve faced so far. In their debut, an away match against the All Blacks on August 10, the Pumas snagged a key 38-30 win — their third-ever victory against New Zealand.
However, a week later they fell 42-10 in the second game. This allowed the All Blacks to take second place, thanks to the extra point given for scoring more than four tries.
