These subway stations will close for two months starting March for repairs

Twenty stations will be renovated during 2023.

Three subway stations will be shut for approximately two months starting in March due to repair works, Buenos Aires transport authorities announced this weekend.

The closures are as follows:

  • San Martin (line C) closes on March 1
  • Bulnes (line D) closes on March 8
  • Facultad de Medicina (line D) closes on March 15

Renovations will include painting the stations, refurbishing the signs, adding Braille signage, and replacing old lights with LED lights.

The City of Buenos Aires has called for bids to renovate twenty stations during the upcoming year, including stations on all lines except line H, which has been under expansion since 2007.

Subway service has been affected since 2022 due to renovation works in most of the stations. The usual Monday to Friday schedule runs from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 or 11:30 p.m., depending on each line.
