The Buenos Aires Herald’s editor-in-chief, Estefanía Pozzo, is among the nominees for Best News Editor at the Martín Fierro News Website Awards 2026.
The other nominees are Valeria Cavallo (Infobae), Ricardo Roa (Clarín), Juan Abraham (Gente), Javier Petersen (El Cronista), and Jose Del Rio (La Nación). The winners will be announced on Thursday, June 4, in a ceremony at Parque Norte, Buenos Aires.
The Martín Fierro Awards were created in 1959 by the Argentine Association of Television and Radio Journalists (APTRA) to recognize the most outstanding television and radio content in Argentina. Throughout the years, Martin Fierro awards were extended to other media such as radio, cable TV, and, in recent years, theater, film, and streaming content.
Beginning at 9 p.m. at Goldencenter Eventos in Parque Norte, the gala — hosted by Julieta Prandi and Nacho Girón — will honor winners across 33 categories — including columnists, documentaries, and online ads — before awarding the night’s top prize, the coveted Golden Martín Fierro. Winners are voted by APTRA members.
This is the second installment of the awards for news websites. Last year, Infobae was voted the best news website, and its founder and CEO, Daniel Hadad, received the Golden Martín Fierro. Other winners included La Nacion website’s Daniel Bilota (best reporter) and Gastón Roitberg (best news editor).
The ceremony will be streamed live via Infobae’s YouTube channel. Coverage of the red carpet is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., while the awards ceremony will start at 9 p.m.
