Argentina’s economic fragility presents a challenge to whoever is inaugurated as president on December 10. The electoral race to define who that will be continues: will it be Sergio Massa or Javier Milei?

That will be the main question the Buenos Aires Herald will try to answer on Tuesday, November 14 at 6 p.m. with an in-person panel discussion organized in collaboration with La Maquinita. 

Leandro Ziccarelli and Milagros Gismondi will be speaking at the event as two economists with different analytical perspectives. At the Herald we believe that Argentina’s problems require wide dialogue, the search for consensus, and active listening in the pursuit of improving our democracy.

Leandro Ziccarelli is the host of the podcast Financiero, Monetario e Irreverente (FMI) and is a member of the Argentine Center for Economic Policy (CEPA for its Spanish initials).

Milagros Gismondi is an advisor for the Buenos Aires City legislature and is a member of the Empiria consulting firm, led by former Economy Minister Hernán Lacunza.

The event is free but prior registration is required. There will be coffee before the panel discussion begins and a happy hour afterward.

En medio de la carrera electoral para definir quién llegará a la Casa Rosada el próximo 10 de diciembre, la fragilidad de la economía argentina plantea  desafíos que deberá enfrentar el próximo presidente. ¿Será Sergio Massa o será Javier Milei?

Esta será la pregunta principal que intentaremos responder el martes 14 de noviembre a partir de las 18 horas en un encuentro presencial organizado de manera conjunta por el Buenos Aires Herald y La Maquinita. 

De la charla participarán Leandro Ziccarelli y Milagros Gismondi, dos economistas de diferentes espacios y orientaciones analíticas. En el Herald tenemos la convicción de que los problemas de la Argentina requieren de diálogos amplios, la búsqueda de consensos y la escucha atenta. Solo así se mejora la calidad democrática de un país.

Milagros Gismondi es asesora en la Legislatura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y forma parte de la consultora Empiria, que dirige Hernán Lacunza, ex ministro de Economía de María Eugenia Vidal y Mauricio Macri. 

El evento es gratuito pero requiere inscripción previa. Habrá un café al inicio y una happy hour de cervezas al finalizar la actividad.
