The F1 Exhibition, a showcase featuring F1 cars from various eras, memorabilia, previously-unseen photography and even racing simulators, is set to arrive in Buenos Aires in March.
The Argentine capital will become the fifth city to host the touring display, after Madrid, Vienna, Toronto and London. It’s the first stop on a wider South American tour.
The exhibition is a journey through the history of the racing series. It will feature six rooms with immersive activities and displays about some of F1’s most important figures and cars, past and present.
One of the most outstanding experiences is the “Design Laboratory,” where visitors will enter a racing team’s car factory and learn how the vehicles are developed for each season. The “Survivors” space showcases the remains of driver Romain Grosjean’s car, which crashed in a fireball at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix. The French driver survived, but the car split in two. The incident rekindled the debate about safety in the sport.
“We are delighted the exhibition will make its South American debut in Buenos Aires,” Formula 1 Chief Commercial Officer Emily Prazer told the F1 official site. “There has been a strong resurgence in support from the region and we cannot wait for fans to celebrate the pivotal role the region has played in defining our sport.”
The exhibition will open on March 22 and run through June 1. Ticket pre-sale runs from February 11 at 10:00 a.m. to February 12 at 10:00 p.m. Entry starts from AR$38,000 (US$35.48 at the official rate, US$32 at the MEP rate). The show will be open from 12 a.m. until 8 p.m. and organizers recommend visitors allow at least 90 minutes for their visit.
