A fifteen-year old boy was hospitalized in Mar del Plata after being brutally attacked by a group of rugby players from Tucumán province in the seaside town of Pinamar. Local police arrested an 18-year old boy indicated as the main aggressor.
According to first police reports, the mains suspect of the assault is an 18-yrear old boy from North Western province of Tucumán that visits Pinamar every summer to play a traditional seven-a-side tournament with his rugby club.
Doctors at the 25de Mayo Clinic of Mar del Plata informed the victim, Ezequiel Biagioli, received several punches and kicks to the head which left him unconscious for several minutes until police officers found him by the beach.
Sources also indicated that the fight could have started at a night club and continued at the beach where three rugby players between the age of 18 and 20 decided to tackle down Biagioli and unleash the beating.
After leaving Bagioli unconscious, the rugby players left calmly. The run away did not last much as the aggressors were detained a few blocks later. Only one remains arrested at the local police station.
