'The CGT currently has no secretary general,' Lescano
Luz y Fuerza energy union leader Oscar Lescano warned that “there is no current CGT secretary general,” because Moyano’s term ended on July 14th and the teamster did not abide by what the Labour Ministry said.
Lescano referred to the CGT umbrella union rift before heading into a meeting between anti-Moyano factions at the UOM metal workers’ union headquarters.
“Moyano’s term ended on July 14th and he stll led a Congress and did not abide by the Labour Ministry’s orders. There is currently no secretary general at the CGT,” Lescano assured.
“Even if this conflict makes it to court, it does not mean that we do not talk with Moyano. We may be holding a conflict but still maintain a dialogue. We are not friends, but we are not enemies either. Some fellow unionists keep talks with Moyano supporters, although I do not,” Lescano added.“God willing we will reach an agreement."
