Ban Ki-moon asks Israel to ease up Gaza blockade
UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon asked Israel today to ease up the blockade against the Palestinians after being received by protests crossing from Israel to Gaza.
At a press conference in Gaza, UN chief says Israel must allow Palestinians "freedom, dignity and human rights."
“Israel has loosened a bit. But the United Nations wants to see a little more effort,” said Ban.
“The checking points should be lifted to let the imports and exports come through. The population should have freedom of movements,” he affirmed.
“I will do everything in my power to see Israelis and Palestinians living in peace in the future,” Ban remarked.
