Jaque approved as Argentine ambassador to Colombia
Celso Jaque.
Former Mendoza governor Celso Alejandro Jaque was approved by the Colombian government as the new Argentine ambassador in Bogota, sources in the Foreign Ministry announced.
The new ambassador will replace Martín Balza, who is still in office.
Jaque graduated as an accountant from the National University of Cuyo in 1987 and was elected governor of Mendoza from 2007 to 2011.
Previously he had been elected Senator and a provincial lawmaker.
He was a college professor who taught at the Argentine Catholic University, the National University of Cuyo and the Champagnat and Congreso universities.
