'The team will be defined on Friday'

Argentina''s Davis Cup captain Modesto Vázquez.

Argentina’s tennis captain Modesto “Tito” Vázquez affirmed that he still has doubts about how the team will be formed for the final of the Davis Cup against Spain that will begin on Friday at Sevilla.

“We still don’t an answer to that question. We’ve been training with the team for the last two or three days and we are still deciding,” Vázquez said during a press conference.

“We are still training and analyzing what the official team will be. The team will be announced the day of the first match,” he continued. Currently, it seems that Juan Mónaco and Juan Martín Del Potro will play the singles in the first two points, while David Nalbandian will play along with Eduardo Schwank on Saturday’s doubles.

On the other hand, Vázquez spoke about the kind of court that was chosen by the Spaniards: “It’s a fast and slippery court. It’s not so easy, but we’ll be ready. The court is like this and we have to adapt to it because we are the visitors.”
