Mónaco advances to US Open’s second round
Argentine tennis player Juan Mónaco.
Tennis player Juan Mónaco achieved the second round of the US Open, the fourth and last Grand Slam of the year, after defeating Italian Andreas Seppi by 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 and 6-2.
The Argentine player won over Seppi after an hour and 58 minutes, in the match played at the Number 7 Court of Flushing Meadows.
Previously, Argentine Horacio Zeballos was eliminated in its debut after losing with the Italian Fabio Fognini by 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) and 6-4, in three hours and eight minutes at the number 8 court.
