France, partners working on new Libya UN resolution

France and its partners at the United Nations are working on a draft resolution that would enable Libyan assets to be unfrozen and sanctions to be unlocked, a French diplomatic source said.

The resolution is still in the preliminary stages and will be worked out in the coming days during talks in Qatar, Turkey and New York, the source said.

"It is difficult to be precise on the details of the resolution" the source said. He said it would look at the issue of sanctions and unfreezing assets but there was no timeframe as yet.
