River’s Monumental stadium to be re-opened
Prosecutor Gustavo Galante confirmed that the order to shut down River Plate’s Monumental stadium has been lifted, although he stated that they can not “determine who were responsible” for the attacks that took place right after the team was relegated to National B Division last Sunday.
“The order to shut down the stadium has been lifted, but we still can’t determine the responsibilities of the attackers because we have to analyze the material we have,” Galante told the press.
Sources reported that inside the institution there were traffic signs left on the floor near the entrance were the people who were not at the stadium and who had gathered once the team had been relegated entered.
The prosecutor assured it is “not necessary” to keep the club closed because it has already been inspected, and added that “the members of the club can already use the building.”
Galante also reported that the “leaders of the club have received threats,” but he told the press that he cannot give any details.
