Cobos assures Villa Soldati conflict was a 'structural issue'
Vice-President Julio Cobos presented his government plan in the frame of the 2011 presidential elections and assured that illegal occupation of land is part of a “structural” problem.
“We’ve seen that the citizens violate the law and lead to a clash in order to find a shortcut to their demands and rights, trying to fill the place left by an absent State,” Cobos said during the presentation of a government programme for 2011.
The Vice-President thanked “God that they could reach to an agreement,” referring to the solution agreed by the National and Buenos Aires City governments, but warned that “they could have avoided the problem.”
“This is a structural problem. It’s not of a government, but a problem of the last governments and it is everyone’s responsibility,” he continued.
Although Cobos did not officially launched his presidential candidacy, he presented the technical groups that asses him and that might take part of his government.
