Photography: Vivian Maier at Fototeca Latinamericana

If one had asked Vivian Maier about her profession while she lived, she would have answered — despite the fact that she took over 200,000 photos — that she was just a nanny. It wasn’t until years after her death, when hundreds of thousands of negatives and rolls of film were found in an abandoned storage unit, that the world learnt about her talent as an outstanding photographer. Maier was big on self-portraits and on street life in Chicago, where she worked for years, New York, her hometown, and Los Angeles. Starting this month and spanning over three months, this new exhibition takes us through the world of an artist working in disguise.

Until June 11 from 12pm to 8pm at FoLa (Godoy Cruz 2620).
Tickets at $70. Discounts available for students
and senior citizens.
