Beer, shamrocks and dancing for St. Patricks day in BA city.

Argentines took to the streets for parades and to bars for drinks yesterday to celebrate Saint Patrick’s day, turning parts of downtown Buenos Aires and neighbourhoods including Palermo, Recoleta, San Telmo and Congreso green. The day to celebrate the Irish patron saint was not taken up only by Irish descendants, who are estimated to number between 500,000 and a million, as locals and tourists mingled on crowded streets, using it as an excuse to drink lots of beer and whiskey.
