New ‘truck-spirited’ Iveco van
With the objective of strengthening its position within the small van segment, Iveco Argentina has launched the new “truck-spirited” Daily 8.3 Cubik. It’s the only model in the segment with a a solid chassis with transverse beams and will compete against the Renault Master and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which currently lead sales.
Iveco aims to establish a seven-percent market share by the end of the year and fifteen percent within the following 365 days.
Credit financing of up to 70 percent is available through a special partnership with Santander Rio.
The new Daily 8.3 Cubik is robust from every angle, and its shape sets it apart from the rest of the market. Its unique solid chassis makes it capable of withstanding enormous weights. It is equipped with a 136 HP engine with a torque of 300 Nm, also setting it one step ahead of its direct competition.
Sebastián Rodríguez Macías, Iveco Argentina’s Commercial Director, defines the new model as a van with “the power of a truck.”
“That’s why we say it has the spirit of a truck, because none of the models of the competition have a chassis.”
Rodríguez Macías says Iveco is a “full-range company. With the launch of the 8.3 Cubik, we have completed our participation in the low-weight utility segment.”
About 8,400 vans are sold per year, of which 40 percent are 8m3 in volume. Until now, Iveco was only present in 60 percent of the segment (12 to 17m3), in which the company has a 38 percent market share.
The 8.3 Cubik Daily has all the amenities that urban transportation demands: radio with CD, MP3 and USB, mirrors and windows with electric commands, remote central locking, cruise control and a large rear door that opens at 270 degrees, allowing greater flexibility when loading the vehicle. Its most equipped version, also features air conditioning, automatic climate control and a 140 A alternator.
“With the Daily 8.3 Cubik, Iveco offers a van of superior character, good power, durability, robustness and at the same time, important cargo volume,” said Francisco Spasaro, Head the Medium Light Vehicles Range at Iveco Argentina .
The vehicle starts at a competitive price of 199,999 pesos and comes with a two-year warranty.
