Man arrested in connection to Mendoza murder case

A close family member of 20-year-old Micaela Blasco, who was found murdered last Tuesday inside her bathtub in her downtown apartment in Mendoza, was detained on Sunday in connection to the crime after authorities found the victim’s mobile phone in his home, authorities indicated.

The suspect was identified as Sebastián Videla, the 30-year-old husband of one of Micaela’s cousins.

He was arrested in his house, located in the Mendoza department of Las Heras, where authorities also found other items that are believed to have belonged to the victim.
