'Moyano raised issues citizens are concerned about,' Vidal
City deputy Mayor María Eugenia Vidal rejected the possibility that the PRO party is analyzing an alliance or accords with CGT reelected leader Hugo Moyano, but acknowledged that the unionist talks about issues concerning many citizens in his speeches.
“Moyano has been a political ally of the Kirchners in the past eight years. We do not consider him as a potential ally,” Vidal stressed, after she was asked about Moyano’s reelection as the Central Labour Union leader.
Nevertheless, the Deputy Mayor admitted that “Moyano spoke about issues concerning thousands of citizens such as inflation and lack of security during the speech he delivered at Ferro Carril stadium” on Thursday.
"Moyano’s political outlook will depend on his own stance,” she added.
Vidal’s comments are similar to those of Mayor Mauricio Macri, who assured he has "a respectful relationship with Moyano because Teamsters handle rubbish collection," but assured they share no political links.
