Prosecutor asks closure of Monumental due to fan's death
Public prosecutor José María Campagnoli, currently investigating into the death of an alleged hooligan who was stabbed at River Plate Stadium on Sunday, ordered to shut the stadium down and assured the murderer has already been identified.
The Metropolitan Police is already carrying out several raids in Florencio Varela district to arrest the murderer.
Campagnoli assured he had identified Gonzalo Saucedo’s killer, who was stabbed in the middle of a fight between River Plate's hooligans during Sunday’s game between River and Boca Unidos de Corrientes.
Although the prosecutor did not give any details over the case, he has ordered to shut down the Monumental stadium.
Campagnoli confirmed that Saucedo was stabbed at the Sívori higher stands and not at the lower ones, as it was previously said.
