Lower House committees debate decriminalization of drug possesion

Members of the “Addiction Prevention”, “Drugs Traffic Control”, and “Criminal Law” Lower House committees have started a series of debate meetings to analyze a total of eight draft bills aimed to decriminalize the possession of drugs for personal use.

According to the parliamentary agenda, today’s meeting will be focused on listening to officials and other authorities specially invited to discuss the topic such as Supreme Court member Judge Eugenio Zaffaroni, Security Minister Nilda Garré, and the Secretary General of the SEDRONAR drug prevention programme Rafael Bielsa.
